I fell in love with this dude the first time I saw him, even though I don't what this Miraculous Ladybug or whatever. I swear to god every fictional crush I have they all have OTP's n shit. When will this suffering ever end...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The cold Parisian air nipped at your skin, making you tug your coat tighter around you.
Placing the basket on the ground, you unfolded the blanket and laid it flat on the concrete building. Setting up two cups with lemon tea bags inside, you grabbed the thermos and poured your cup with hot water. Getting one more item in the basket was a container full of bourbon biscuits stuffed with chocolate cream. Taking a tiny sip of your tea and taking a nibble of the biscuit, you patiently waited for a certain masked blonde.
"Hello, ma cherie." He whispered into your ear, making you shiver. He chuckled and plopped down next to you, a few biscuits already in hand and cup in the other, waiting for the hot water.
"You took your time, Cat Burglar." You said as you poured his cup with water.
He swallowed the biscuit and took a short sip of his tea. "I had to bid farewell to my beloved Ladybug. And why do you give me the nickname Cat Burglar? As you can see I'm a vigilante, not a thief."
'Well, you stole something precious to me.' You thought.
"You just really strike me as a thief. A vigilante thief that is." You stated and took another biscuit. "So what happened to your ladybug this time?"
He sighed and set down his cup and half-eaten biscuit. "What am I doing wrong, (Name)? I've done everything that girls would have liked; complimenting her everyday, flirtatious advances, flowers-what am I doing wrong?"
You swallowed in the emotions that made you sick when he did all that to someone else that isn't you. "Well, based on what I've seen in Ladybug, she's very confident and headstrong, so having a relationship isn't exactly the first thing to do in her list." He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "So... Instead of constantly flirting with her, try to keep it to a minimum."
He blinked, processing what you had just said, then clapped his hands and smiled widely that you had to bite the inside of your cheek not to squeal at his cuteness. "Thank you so much, (Name)! I finally know what to do to win her heart." He kissed your cheek and ran to the edge of the roof. "See you around, ma cherie!"
Your fingers lingered to where he kissed you, your heart beating so fast.
"God damn you, I was trying my best not to fall in love with you."
|Few weeks later|
"Ha... This is bliss." You sighed as you took a sip of your hot cocoa. Taking your sketchbook off your lap, you drew the Parisian street in your point of view, being mindful of your drink.
Just when you were shading the trees, you heard a voice from above. "Bonjour, ma chérie." You looked up and saw a pair of brilliant green eyes.
"Adrien! Hello..." You smiled as he took a seat opposite yours.
"I see you're taking up sketching again. What made you do so?"
"Oh, you know..." You brushed some hair behind your ear. "Love problems."
His expression turned to worry as he grasped your hand. "What happened? Did someone hurt you?"
You two have met during a photo shoot in a nearby park. You would always sit under the biggest tree under its shade and sketched whatever piqued your interest, that being Adrien Agreste. While he was on break, his gaze fell on you and instantly made a beeline towards you. To put it shortly, after some squealing and introductions, you two became inseparable. That is, if not for his overly attached girlfriend and his bodyguards.
"Not necessarily hurt me, but..." You stared at his beautiful green eyes, almost reminding you of that one night. "Okay, someone... Stole something precious to me." Before he could flip out, you pointed the left part of your chest. "This."
He looked confused before his eyes widened. "O-oh... But if he stole it, chase him down to the center of the Earth and get it back, not before punching him in the face."
You laughed, which you hadn't done in a long time. "Believe me, he isn't some ordinary guy. And I would've died long ago if I gave chase to him."
"Well, if you can't do it, could you please say the name so I would do the deed?"
You laughed once agajn. "I highly doubt that you can do it but I'm gonna say it anyway,
it's Chat Noir."
|The next day|
"Chat Noir, three o' clock!" Ladybug yelled as she punched a robber.
Unfortunately, Chat Noir's mind was not present in battle as he was punched by the bulkiest of the robbers. He shook it off and summoned his staff and thwacked it on the robber's junction of his neck and shoulder.
"Not very effective..." He said in a very heavy accent. He grabbed the staff and threw it off his shoulder, Chat Noir still holding to said staff.
"Merde!" He cussed, crashing onto another robber that Ladybug was fighting. She saw the bulky robber getting away with the bags of money and used her yo-yo as a lasso and threw it at the robber's feet. He tripped, dropping the bags far from him, thus finally losing consciousness.
She looked down at her feet. Chat Noir was standing up shakily and the robber was unconscious. She clicked her tongue, grabbed his arm, and left the scene, leaving it up to the police. She proceeded to jump to the nearest building, Chat Noir following suite, up to the roof.
"Okay, what just happened back there?" She asked, furious. "Normally you would still be fighting even while flirting with me, but now it almost looked like you aren't even trying at all!"
Chat Noir stayed silent, staring at the floor deep in thought. Ladybug punched him on the arm.
"Ow-What!?" He yelled, clearly angry.
Ladybug was tacken aback. He was never angry to Ladybug.
Chat Noir took notice and his look softened. "I'm sorry it's just-" He groaned and sat on the edge of the roof. Ladybug blinked and sat down next to him.
"Getting angry with me, head not in the game, and no flirtatious comment? Who are you and what have you done with Chat Noir?" She asked him suspiciously.
"Hey, that incident was over long ago." He sighed. "I'm just kinda... Stuck in a predicament."
"A predicament?" Ladybug questioned with sarcasm.
"You see, someone confessed their love to me and-" He glared at Ladybug when she snorted.
"Sorry, please continue."
"She is my dear friend and I-I can't help but feel the same way to her."
"Then what's stopping you?"
"I don't know; me being a coward or my love for you." He looked at her.
At this point she laughed. Laughing so hard she had to clutch onto Chat Noir, who looked confused.
"Chat Noir... What you're feeling for the girl is true love! You're feelings for me is just infatuation. So nothing's gonna go wrong if you confess to her. Besides, it's about time there was someone else in your life who you can pester." She laughed a little and stood up, patting Chat Noir on the shoulder. "It's gonna be fine. Trust me."
"I always trust you." Chat Noir said, smiling mischievously. Ladybug rolled her eyes and ran off. Chat Noir stayed there, deep in thought. His other persona, Adrien, liked you too but you probably like Chat Noir more.
How could he even the scales?
Biting your bottom lip, you carefully drew the line that puts the sketch in perfection. Heaving a happy sigh, you examined the drawing.
Only to realize that you drew Chat Noir.
You groaned and slammed your sketchbook angrily, slamming your head over it and ran your hands through your hair. Yep, you were never gonna get over him.
"Might I ask what made ma chérie so upset?" You gasped and sat up abruptly in which your hands got into your half-assed bun which made you seethe in pain from the knots. The masked vigilante stifled his laughter as he made his way into your room. You always did have a habit of forgetting to close your window.
"What do you want? Did whatever you did impress Ladybug? Or at least made her look at you or-" You stopped with your rambling when he presented a single red rose. "What's... That for?"
He took a deep breath and placed the rose behind your right ear. "(Name), I have something to confess." You blinked but nodded your head to urge him on. "I have developed these feelings for... Someone."
You felt your heart plummet down to your stomach. Of course he wanted more tips on how to impress Ladybug.
"And I think that she reciprocates my feelings. So if we are mutual, how do I show it to her that I like her?"
You sighed, steeling yourself. "Well, since you both like each other but no one knows it yet, the guy should go first. He should cup the girl's face and lean down real close to her and just stay there to make her want the guy more. Since Ladybug is almost the same height as you-"
"Ladybug isn't the person I'm confessing to." He smiled, cupping your cheeks and leaning down close to your face so you could see the tiny little colors that blended beautifully in his emerald eyes.
"Ch-Chat Noir...? Why are-"
"Shh... You said that I should stay like this and let the girl kiss me if she likes me back, right? So-mmph!?" He didn't finish his sentence when you wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him with so much emotion; happines and relief being the main ones. He kissed you back with equal passion.
He pulled back, only to see you in tears. "Don't cry. You're supposed to be happy." He wiped them away.
You sniffled and punched his chest weakly. "Because! You're such an idiot! First you like Ladybug, then you turned to me for advice and then... And then..."
"Shh. I told you. You're the girl I like and the only one for me. When I always talk to you, your advice... Your scenarios... I can't help but imagine that you were the one I'm imagining with. I mean I-" You hushed his rambling by kissing him once again. He didn't argue about that.
"Shut up, you cheeky cat." You nuzzled his nose with yours. "I like you too, Adrien Agreste."
His eyes widened. "You know?"
"Of course." You played with the bell that hung around his neck. "You and Adrien pronounce ma chérie so clear it's hard to tell the difference between it. Also, no one says that to me other than Adrien."
"Well then, I guess I'm the first one to say it." He pulled you closer. "Ma chérie, je t'aime."
"Je t'aime aussi, mon cher."
